The office of the Associate Vice President of Facilities 和 校园 Safety is located in Andersen Hall, room A-436.
The department is responsible for all aspects of Facilities Management: planning, construction management, energy management, space inventory management, preventive 和 routine maintenance, 修复, custodial services 和 grounds services in compliance with specifications 和 code requirement.
It conducts ongoing planning 和 assessment of the physical plan management. The office negotiates 和 evaluates contracts for facilities infrastructure including construction, telephone networks, building-wide systems such as the photocopy fleet, cleaning 和 pest prevention.
The Facilities Department recruits, hires 和 manages maintenance, custodial 和 security staff including observance of collective bargaining agreement. It provides appropriate support for ongoing classroom, performance 和 college events.
The department works closely with the Dean of Students 和 Senior Director of Administration 和 Human Relations to comply with all regulations 和 procedures regarding campus safety 和 security. It develops 和 writes policies 和 procedures for the department, 和 maintains external relations with NYC departments (police, 火, sanitation, building inspectors), neighborhood groups, 和 nearby campus employees.
